Why Brown Rice is One of the World's Healthiest Foods?
There are three parts to a mature grain of rice: the bran, the germ and the endosperm. During milling, only the outermost layer (the hull) is removed called brown rice and is the least damaging to the nutritional value. Whereas, the white rice has its bran and germ removed, leaving behind only the endosperm. The complete milling and polishing that converts brown rice into white rice destroys 67% of the vitamin B3, 80% of the vitamin B1, 90% of the vitamin B6, half of the manganese, half of the phosphorus, 60% of the iron, and all of the dietary fiber and essential fatty acids.

Direction
